I wish that telephone pole hadn't been there...

funny you say that...cuz i was thinking...look at that vintage telephone pole...it will be long gone in years to come...but see that is just my antique side comin out..lol love the shot..even with the pole there...soon every thing will be satellite, no more poles....hope there are still trains...in years to come! I can almost see the insulators on the pole......
Several years ago in western North Dakota there were still several miles of old telephone poles with glass insulators standing along the BNSF Hi-Line. One spring a mighty wind storm came in and knocked all the poles down. Two days after that, there wasn't an insulator to be found. People descended on the poles like vultures!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Though BNSF does still maintain some wire-line service in certain areas (the La Junta sub and Ark City sub come to mind).
